Rooms

This time we’re going minimalist all the way. Design wise, material usage, and room settings.

The main thing of building a house in a small property is to make priority of the rooms you need. In this house for example, there are only 3 bedrooms. ! master bedroom and 2 children’s bedrooms. They are put away from public areas in different floors. There are 1 bathrooms in each floors which is 2.

The dining area and kitchen is in the 1st floor. The terrace can be an alternative for a reception area, so you can have the guests there.

Materials

Not only design wise, the use of material should be minimalist also.

You could use used material for roofing, flooring or even walls. Try to choose used material that are still useable.

 Room organizing

The house is divided in 2 parts. The front house is a joglo type house, which are the children’s rooms. With a little lounge area for each room.

The lower part of the house is used for carport.

The next part is the main house. The public area ( pantry, dining, living area and bathrooms) is in the first floor. The master bedroom is in the 2nd floor, which includes a walk in closet. With little void towards the pantry. The two area is connected by a stair.

The back area is for services ( laundry, and storage) and is located next to the main house. It is placed separately from other part of the houses so that no one can see it.
